I'm looking at buying a 300 or a 30 06. Both of these rifle interest me. What rifle is the better choice for accuracy performance and functions. The gun is for moose and elk hunting if that helps. And hopefully a kodiak deer hunt in a few years.

It all depends on what you want. I have done a lot of research and handled a Mesa. To me they are the better gun but if I want a 300 then I am getting a 26 in barrel and the Mesa only has a 24.

Browning xbolts are the only factory gun I have found with a 26" tube.

The fierce fury is a step up from the Mesa in my opinion but only you can decide if the extra money is worth it.

Handle them and buy the one you like best.

FWIW my next rifle will probably a fierce fury if they go in sale at cabelas again and that does go against my 26" barrel comment earlier

I think the Kimber will be more bang for the buck.

Thank for the input. Now I'm seriously looking at Fierce fury and edge. Also looking at a Barret Fueldcraft in 30 06

So I sold a rifle and it time to get serious. I held a mesa and didn't care for it all that much. I liked the ridgeline, seemed much more balanced. I really like the fierce products I have held. They have carbon fury coming out. I also like the looks of the fierce fury long range. I have a custom build with a mcmillan game scout stock and love that style stock. I held a barrett and it wasn't for me.

Thanks to the guys that recommended Fierce to me. I'm looking forward to shooting this gun in a few weeks.

I almost bought the Mesa a year ago, but ended up with a Kimber 84M. I have all but given up on the Kimber and wish I had bought the Mesa. I just can't get the accuracy out of the Kimber that I want.
