Looking into buying an old Kimber model 89 BGR 375H&H. Gun number is SG4405.

I've heard various reports on these rifles.. this one is apparently working fine.

What should I look for in this rifle?

What are they usually worth?

Thought about fitting a Zeiss HT 2,5-10x50 scope on it. Is the stock comb rather high or low on these rifles. It has open express sights, so I suppose the stock is rather low.

30mm rings from Warne comes along. Does Talley rings fit too..?

No one having experience with the old Kimber of Oregon rifles?

Anyway - I bought it - so will make a write up with some pictures when I get to shoot it.

I've heard they can run the gamut from awesome to crap shooters. From what I remember, it's not too much work to get a bad one to shoot good though.
