Got a little cabin fever this morning. I broke out the 30-06 with Hornady Precision Hunters 178 grain. The 3 on the left are with the thread protector and the five on the right are with the break.
I should be able to tighten it down when the wind stops blowing.

Probably a 1.5” ten shot rifle. Not many hunting scenarios’s the rifle will be the issue!

I’ll take 1.5” over ten shots. It’s the first cold shot that counts.
I plan on shooting this rifle a lot from different field positions when it’s not so darn cold out. Maybe I’ll draw a dream hunt for this fall.

Never hurts to take 10 cold bore shots.

if everything on the gun is tidy they’ll usually overlap the “load up and shoot” 10 shot group.

I’ll try a ten shot group and post it. I’d like to see what it will do. I’m not opposed to shooting in the cold but tomorrow is snow turning to rain and the then down into the teens with the ever present wind off the lake.
