Finally got my 10 x 10 Kodiak from Cabelas which had been backordered for about a month. Very easy to put up (15 minutes) and looks very well made. Just sprayed it with water per instructions. Excited to get it out on the trail.

I am leaning hard towards buying a 10 x 14 Super Deluxe in the Kodiak tent. The ability to quickly pitch the tent alone is one of the many features that interest me. Has anyone utilized the wing vestibule shown here with their Kodiak? I can see where it would be quite useful for cooking & gear storage, etc.

I went for the super deluxe since it was on sale for 600 with ground tarp. On Saturdays, competitive edge does 3% off, shows up in your cart, so you can get an extra 20 bucks off on Saturdays. I got the free ground sheet, and ordered the vestibule too. At first they said end of June, then changed it to middle of July for ship date. Asked for a few bucks off for the inconvience and they immediately refunded me $25 so that was really cool. Ended up getting the super deluxe, ground tarp and vestibule for $635 + tax.

The regular deluxe from bass pro, with tax, would have been about $470 after sale and active junky and another $120 for ground tarp and vestibule. So $590 after tax, and I got the super deluxe for $670 after tax, so $80 more than getting in on the bass pro deal. still a pretty solid deal since the super is usually $100 more than the regular deluxe.

You guys order through BPS/Cabela’s? I’d like to get one of these bad boys as well.

You guys got a pretty good deal on them. As previously mentioned I’ve seen them on CL used for more.

I wonder if BPS will have them on sale for July 4th? Thoughts?

I ordered through BPS, Cabelas went out of stock while I was waiting for a 10% Tuesday.

Had mine shipped to the store since I was out of town, just went and picked it up yesterday and got it sprayed down to season it.

I “sold” it as a car camping palace, so it was wife approved

We have had good luck with ours. AC in the summer. Big Buddy in the winter. Pretty solid tent.

What AC do you run in the summer?

Just a cheap portable one. We had it for some reason and decided to try it. Works good. We hang a tarp at about 5' when it's really hot.
