Kodiak island boot question

Hey guys heading to kodiak at the end of the month. Will be dropped off by boat. Do I want to get neo, type over shoes for getting from boat to shore, or will I be fine with my hunting boots and kuiu gaiters?

yep, boots and gaiters will work.... if your boots leak, you'll know pretty quick. when it's really dumping here, i still hunt in xtra tuffs a good amount, especially if i'm hiking logging roads and glassing. if your boots leak, you'll just have wet feet for your trip.

if i was going to kodiak, i would still wear my crispis and kutana gaiters.... POW, i would probably just bring xtra tuffs. if you have all leather boots, oil them up good before you go

Should be good with your boots and gaiters. If your worries, hop off the boat in crocks and then lace up.
