For sale, Kowa Genesis 8.5x44 binocular in excellent to mint condition. No marks on body. Armor feels slightly loose in a couple spots, but barely noticeable. Glass is flawless. Comes with original box, case, strap, original lens covers, as well as better fitting Opticron lens covers. Great glass. As good as or better than Swaro SLC HD. Thinning the collection.

SOLD

Ive got the 10.5. Incredibly underrated bino. Wish I had the balls to pop that bino hinge cover off and figure out how to make a center post stud

yeah i have no idea why they didn't make it easily tripod ready. i have taken the cap off before to take a look under it. it's not hard; just be careful.

i haven't tried meostar 8x42, but have the euro HD 10x32 and meostar 15x56. optically, they are both going to be great. meostar might have a slight edge in FOV, but we're talking 63 vs 60 degree AFOV. meostar 8x42 doesn't have the HD glass, so the genny will have better CA control. genny has slightly more mag 8.5x vs 8x. ergo-wise, meopta is short and fat, while kowa is a bit longer. meopta has thumb grooves while kowa doesn't.

Looks like this. I wonder if a machinist could thread into that steel hinge and develop a stud CD16F1BB-8E5A-4903-8E6F-B8A53EE9583C.jpeg
Sorry for hijacking the thread
