KUIU pant alterations

I wear 36 inch waist in KUIU and I have a 30 inch inseam. Just wondering if anyone has had the talus pants or pro pants altered to a 30 inseam. What did it do to the knee pads?
Did it make them inoperable?
Or did it work like a champ put the pads right where needed?
