I like that puff jacket, but I wonder how tough the fabric is. I’ve had 2 puff jackets that just weren’t durable enough to wear in the woods, end up blowing out after a limb rips it open and feathers go everywhere…looking at you Sitka Duck Oven jacket…

Puffy layers aren't designed to withstand any abuse. They're designed to be a lightweight mid-layer that's warm and easily packable. They won't last if you expose them as an outer layer.
