I thought this was an interesting article. I believe that Training for the Uphill Athlete included a discussion of lactate that is consistent with this new thinking; I was confused as all getout reading that section of the book. My mind was still in the oxygen/non-oxygen mindset, which I thought was the most up-to-date line of thinking after the "excessive lactic acid" line of thinking had been debunked. It doesn't seem like this has much, if any, relevance to training for us non-professional athletes. But interesting nonetheless.
