I thought this was an interesting article. I believe that Training for the Uphill Athlete included a discussion of lactate that is consistent with this new thinking; I was confused as all getout reading that section of the book. My mind was still in the oxygen/non-oxygen mindset, which I thought was the most up-to-date line of thinking after the "excessive lactic acid" line of thinking had been debunked. It doesn't seem like this has much, if any, relevance to training for us non-professional athletes. But interesting nonetheless.

I am an exercise physiologist, what are your questions about lactate threshold?
I don't have particular questions; I just read the linked article, thought it was interesting, and posted it here. The topic of "cardio," "strength," and "training zones" come up on this forum from time to time--along with some statements about "flushing lactic acid" and the like--and the discussion in the article weighs on that.

I'd be interested in your thoughts on the article, its accuracy, and other thoughts on the topic if you're willing.
