Lanyard Ring For Revolver

Has anyone here ever attached a lanyard ring and a lanyard to their revolver? I am considering putting one on my Super Blackhawk for more security against dropping while in less than ideal conditions, like rough country or around water. Your thoughts are welcome.

I dropped a revolver in the snow once, found it by backtracking.

Understand completely. Went to holster w retaining strap and snap.

Hamilton Bowen sells component lanyard rings and puts them on a number of his revolvers.

Any gunsmith can D&T a hole in the grip frame for a lanyard ring...it's a very good idea to keep your pistol where it belongs!
