Last elk season as a Colorado resident.

I will be moving at the end of 2022 and looking to burn my points. I have 4 points. Been looking at units 66 and 67. Using the goHunt app I should have a good chance of drawing. This would be a solo archery hunt. Should I look at other units? Been hunting OTC for the last 5 seasons. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not an archery hunter, but 66 is better than 67 for rifle. But, I would not hesitate to hunt 67 at all.

If you're wanting to hunt 66 solo you should consider stock or having an outfitter lined up for a packout. Most of the elk in 66 are many miles from the road during archery and extraction is a huge problem. 67 is less of a concern since there are more roads.
