Late october bear behavior? Colorado

So I initially forewent the idea of hunting bear end of october/beginning of november in Colorado, as I'd assume the bears are getting ready to hibernate, late into their feeding time. However, I didn't ask anyone about it either. So what is behavior for bears like at that time? CPW regs make it a point that they're difficult to hunt at that point lol.
Full disclosure I will be elk hunting, but figured worst case I'm seeing sign/habitat for bear for next year if I find anything interesting.

Some bears will return from their lower elevation September food sources to higher elevations. It could be that the abundance of carcasses from rifle seasons are an allure. I’ve also seen them digging in those giant piles of pine cuttings from squirrels.
