If you want to continue hunting those units I would recommend you don't post stuff like this on a public forum. Every newbie elk hunter coming to MT and looking at those units is going to google it and this page will come up and they will say "Oh, I should go to the north of the unit by that Ted Turner ranch and get one of them elks!". This is how spots and units get blown up.
One of the problems with people who are used to hunting out east is they come out here and think "Oh, unit XXX is SO HUGE! There's room for everyone!" so you don't really think too much about talking about general stuff on the internet. The problem is that while yes, the units are large, there are only so many places within any unit that are 1. Accessible, and 2. have the potential to hold elk. Those units start to look a LOT smaller when you narrow them down and then you have to remember that there are 17,000 NR's and who-even-knows how many locals running around with those general tags all of them looking for the same thing.
