I'm sitting in the denver airport right now, and I'm thinking instead of maui, I could do a weeklong backpacking trip to the 2 units I've got narrowed down for this fall.

I lived in Hilo on the Big Island for six years. I hunted all over Big Island but never on Maui. Awesome hunting Sheep, Pig, Goat and Bird. They have some very archery friendly spots on Big Island. I have some friends that live on Maui and they hunt Axis deer and say the hunting is good there well. I usually go out every winter but this year Im saving my time for archery elk. Pm me if you want more info.

Tell us how you get to hunt in Maui. Been there 3x. I can't even locate a bowshop to buy a freaking shirt. The one E-address I found and went to, was selling "tourist" goodies

Last year I hunted elk with 2 guys from Maui. They hunt axis there all the time.
