Gday guys,
Has anyone mounted a post style (such as the outdoorsmans or similar) binocular tripod adapter to a set if Leica Duovid Binos?
I understand it screws into a thread in the centre post,
But cannot find any information on removing the cap,
Has anyone done this?
Is there info out there on how to do it without damaging the binos?

That plastic cap will unscrew. I had to use some needle nose pliers to get enough grip on it. The outdoorsmans stud works great once you get the plastic cap off

Does this mean I can't use a tripod adapter?
There is no screw hole,

My Duovids have an outdoorsman stud installed on them for use with a bino adapter. I didn’t install it as I bought the set used and it came to me in this configuration. In short, yes it’s capable, no I dont know how to do it. I am pretty sure this wasnt helpful.

Ah, yep I see,
I was thinking it would be a smaller male metal threat to screw into the middle.

Last questions,
On the 10-15x50's has anyone gotten away with the short outdoorsmans adapter?
Or will I need the tall one.

I'm probably going to get a black ops arca plate too, to fit the adapter to my tripod, are there any better options that are small and light weight?
