Has anybody compared the 8x42 Geovid HD-B/HD-R/3200.com with the 8x56 version?

I'm swinging between these two models.

The 42mm will have a wider field of view compared to the 56mm, but if the 56mm is noticeably brighter in low-light, and more comfortable to use (i.e easy eye placement) then I'm happy to sacrifice some FOV.

On another (similar) note, has anybody compared the Noctivid and Geovid side by side? Is there a significant difference in terms of image quality (enough to give up the benefits of the integrated rangefinder in the Geovid)?

Cheers.

I have 15x56 Geovid HDs. They are decent 3 pound tripod binoculars with a fine rangefinder. They have a narrow field of view. Mine stay set up on a large tripod for viewing critters on the fairly open mountain side above the house. Get used for truck/SxS/quad accessible glassing too. Won’t pack them around my neck.

The smaller geovids are used by hunters. The banana shaped ones are optically excellent in my use and compared well optically with my Swarovision 10x42EL tho different strengths. They weigh over 2 pounds and are bulky.
