Leica Trinovid 10x42 BA Modern Equivalent?

I have an old pair of 10x42 Leica Trinovid BA’s that have served me well over the years. I’m looking at potentially getting a new pair of binos in a different magnification/form factor. I know there have been quite a few advances in optics over the past few years; what is a modern equivalent for optical quality I can use as a benchmark when looking at all the options? Will any of the HD glass from the major manufacturers outperform the Trinovids?

I’ve been pleased with the Trinovids, but am not particularly tied to Leica or any other brand.
