We’re looking to replace our foodsaver vac sealer with one of the LEM models. The foodsaver is one of their better models but it overheats, which is the only reason we’re upgrading. My wife thinks the LEM 250 is fine since it has a fan, but I’m thinking about going up to the 500. Only draw back seems to be the increased size. We did an antelope and mule deer this year. Normally we do an elk and one deer, sometimes two. We also package fish fillets 3-4 times a year. Any recommendations from this group on the 250 vs 500? I’m the butcher and my wife does the packaging.

I was hoping there would be some response to this topic. I too am looking at purchasing a LEM maxvac but I am interested in the 100 vs the 250 model. I normally process 1 to 2 deer a year with the occasional packaging of leftovers. Do you think I’d be wasting my money with the 100 model?
