Leopoldo cds form - Tikka 6.5

Looking to order the cds turret for my Tikka t3x super light in a 6.5 creedmoor. I’ll be shooting

Hornady 143 eld-x

excuse my lack of knowledge but where would or how would I get the answers to these?

I would technically have to shoot it through a chrono right

Yes...you would need to shoot it through a chronograph.

Go to Hornadys website for bullet info.

Use the altitude close to where you will hunt most.

I could just take the velocity off the box I guess.

but now I am thinking this might not even be worth it. If I plan to go out west with the rifle the alitiude would be way off

Or just forget the cds and make a few dope cards for hunting season and use your solver on the range. Temp, elevation, changing bullets, and not factoring in a diminishing bc makes them more trouble than what they are worth.

CDS is NOT an easy button. It is perceived that way.

Tech and information has evolved that you can do it all with rifle, ammo, targets to you desired range and a free online ballistic calculator like JMB or free app like Shooter.
