This is my 2018 buck, and first bow kill. I lost my focus and missed him at 17 yards, and he stopped behind a tree at 35. I didn't think about the distance, which is further than I would normally shoot, but felt confident I could shoot him if he stepped out. He did, and I made a perfect shot. He made it 50 yards after that.

Are you shooting vanes? Only reason I ask is every pass through I've seen with feathers they're matted down and next to unusable. Thanks!
I shoot feathers and Trad vanes. That was a feather, it was treated with a water proofing years ago. Don’t remember what kind. I don’t treat them anymore. I shoot the vanes when it’s wet and feathers when it’s dry cause they look cool. Lol
