Here’s a tiny north GA buck. Shot him from the ground in natural cover at 6 yards. First velvet deer of my life. Shot him with a 53# at my draw bear grizzly and a 200gr muzzy phantom TRADPLADView attachment 115109

what I wouldn't give for a velvet buck!!!

I believe it's an introduced species, turkeys are from the Americas after all. I believe most of the mammals there are introduced also.

This is my 2018 buck, and first bow kill. I lost my focus and missed him at 17 yards, and he stopped behind a tree at 35. I didn't think about the distance, which is further than I would normally shoot, but felt confident I could shoot him if he stepped out. He did, and I made a perfect shot. He made it 50 yards after that.

My best friend got his biggest trad buck to date with his bear paw Slickstick tonight!

Are you shooting vanes? Only reason I ask is every pass through I've seen with feathers they're matted down and next to unusable. Thanks!

I shoot feathers and Trad vanes. That was a feather, it was treated with a water proofing years ago. Don’t remember what kind. I don’t treat them anymore. I shoot the vanes when it’s wet and feathers when it’s dry cause they look cool. Lol
