that's a great way to improve departure angles. did you do the install yourself? it looks like there was some cutting involved. This gets me thinking maybe a Tacoma might make a good hunting rig that is better on gas and lighter than a full size rig.

Yes a little cutting.

I love my Tacoma! It doesn't get the best mileage though.... 14-15. If I was rich, I would go with newer chevy Colorado with duramax. 26-28 mpg and elockers front and rear!

I needed a Wyoming scale truck for extended range and more gear. I accidentally bought one with all the bells and whistles.

2 week hunt out of my Tacoma. Great for staying mobile when solo

I agree! I love my Taco!!! For the main purpose of western hunting it’s been great for logging roads, tight campsites and maneuverability.

I wasn't kidding...

2005, V10, 6" lift on 37's, and mint!

Found it locally just after seeing yours, and snapped it up. Blame that impulse buy in Rokslide
I want another one so bad. I had a mint V10 that was all stock when I bought it. I sold it though for another vehicle I wanted. You cant hardly find them in good shape anymore. If you do, they want $20K plus for it. I just cant make myself pay that for one.

Don't do that, Colorado's have a garbage frame design. They bend behind the cab due to a giant void right where the frame necks down. At least the toyota frame has to rust before it will bend.

Hahaha. Yea I’ve seen some horrible photos. They will get that fixed before I can afford one.

2006 Honda Element. The perfect midwestern hunting vehicle, IMO. 180k miles, runs like a top, and fits in the tightest of Chicago parallel parking spots. It’s got AWD for getting in and out of corn/bean fields or unplowed alleys. I put beefier Cooper RTXs on it and it actually does ok in mud but has terrible ground clearance.

The stock silver paint matches the 15’ Grumman fairly well .

Pretty comfy for sleeping in the back as well.

I’ll replace it with a taco or 4Runner when it dies.
