You might also consider the KUIU Mountain Star (3+ season) or the KUIU Storm Star (4 season) tents. They're extremely well made, double wall which helps with condensation and have the flexibility to be setup with the tent body removed with the fly / footprint only for your use in Colorado in milder weather.

Weight numbers are also very advantageous for each at around 3 1/2 lbs and sub 6 lbs respectively.

I agree you may be happier in a three man. To be honest, any quality brand 3+ season tent/tipi should be fine. Just use good stakes and guy it properly. If space or weight are a concern I'd definitely upgrade her bag to a lighter/more compact quality synthetic or down. Have a great trip!

I didn’t know Abercrombie made a tent, I’ll check it out. My Lululemon sleeping bag has been awesome though, highly recommend.
