Considering putting one of these on a Win M94 carbine in .44 mag. Anyone used one in a similar application? Wants would be quick target acquisition (do not want a scout scope) and of course durability/zero retention. Thanks.

1-4x scopes are ideal on the magnum pistol leverguns. I ran an old Bushnell 1.75(?)-4 Scopechief on an Marlin 1894FG .41 Mag. I used a standard Weaver aluminum base and Leupold QRW rings. The package worked beautifully. I could remove and reattach the scope without losing my zero. On the low end, the crosshairs could be picked up rapidly with both eyes open. I much preferred this layout over a scout scope. While I can't necessarily comment on the durability of the Leupold, I can certainly vouch for the effectiveness of the 1-4x on your rifle.
