Leupold warranty service replacement.

So I broke the small circle of plastic that helps the eye cup rotate in and out on my Leupold BX-2 Cascades 10x42 (which are discontinued) and they wouldn't send a piece and said I had to send them in for warranty. I had been using them for awhile like this as they still worked fine once you leveled out the eye cups. So I sent them in and checked the box giving them approval to replace them without contacting me with an equivalent or better model. Today I received leupold yellowstone 10X42 as my replacement. I'm not a bino expert so wondering if I got a fair deal??

well I know what I paid for my cascades and can see what the yellowstones sell for. But maybe with technology they can make them better and cheaper nowadays.
