Leupold window mount?

Recently got a leupold tripod and was wondering if anyone has used the window mount that allows the quick detach plate to interchange. I have never used a window mount that didn’t have the pan head and I’m curious how the ball type work.

Also curious if anyone knows if the leupold quick release plate is interchangeable with any other brand.
