I am shocked no one has any experience with these. I am really thinking about picking one up for my sheep hunt to Alaska in a couple of months. They look like a great lightweight solution at only 2 oz.

I have not used the lifestraw but I have used the Aquamira frontier pro for years now, It doesnt have the capacity claim, but is able to screw onto a water bottle or platypus and drink or pull off the bite valve and gravity feed. Also it comes with a tube to attach to the input side and drink out of a piss puddle. I have not done that yet.

Not sure about that one, but a company that makes collapsible water bottles now has a built in filter. "Vapur Explorer Series MicroFilter". Might not be the best for Rokslide style, but seems interesting. Technically they seem to drop a "9" off the filtering capabilities from the life straw.
