Just sent a Slayer to my Smith to be mounted on a 338SS.

Dont know how it performs yet, though only heard good things, but it's shockingly light.

I ended up going with the Insite Arms Heathen Lite brake. Made from 7075 alumimum, self indexing, weights 1.1 oz.

I haven't used many brakes, but picked up a PVA Jet Blast Ultralight for my next build. Comes in at 1.3oz, and is well reviewed by people who have used a spectrum of brakes. Plus it's only ~$130, which is a bit less that Ti or other lightweight brakes.
