Anybody adding linelocks and cord extensions on a 6 or 8 man Tipi?

I put them on my Cimmaron and it works well.

Just picked up my first larger Tipi tent and am wondering if they would be useful or just unnecessary?

Thanks in advance.

I have fixed length extensions on mine that stay on all the time. Basically like an extended stake loop.

I use the line loc 3s. At .18 ozs you may even be saving weight because you need less cord to tie the knots. Also saving time without a doubt. pull them tight and the will hold no questions asked. I have never had one break.

I ended up using a taught line knot for the guy lines and just a length of rope on the stake out loops. Kind of figured there's no adjusting with the loops so I wasn't worrying about it on the extensions.

I like the knot technique. I bought some Lawson guy line material on mass drop. What length do you guys recommend to cut the lines? I have a marmot limelight tent and a small Kelty tarp. I will want some longer lengths for versatility with the tarp. The tent will be fairly straightforward.
