lite stoves

has any one tried the alcohol stoves /vargo,evernew,trangia.../ are they any good or should i stick to my pocket rocket or jetboil/// i made an alcohol stove from a pop can but it was not great //what do you guys think

I tried to like alcohol stoves but my ADD kicks in MUCH too slow for my liking and a 2oz canister stove is a shade heavier but light years faster

I too have struggled with the alcohol stoves. I prefer the canisters.

I also tried the ETOH way, and it didn't go so well for me either. I really like my JB SOL TI. Pretty light really, and boils in no time.

I would not try to cook all my meals on one. I do carry a small cup and alcy stove in my daypack for making a warm drink on daytrips.
