Neighbours when I was growing up had an alpaca ranch, and when they brought in new stock, it would be quarantined on their property in our hood before going to the ranch.
Never saw them biting each other's nuts off, but I'll never forget the sight of an alpaca gang rape going down...or the neighbour showing up asking to borrow a .22 pistol to put the victim out of it's misery.
Every time new stock was brought in, during the quarantine period, one or two of the damn things would get wrecked by the rest of the herd.

Nut biting is real.

We have 2 young, intact males and that's definitely the move they try when they end up on the same side of a fence. What's more impressive is their defensive instincts to protect their nuts! I've seen them bite each other almost everywhere except on the nuts. Spring projects include fortifying a stud enclosure and gelding one of them.

I have that same protective instinct. :)
