I sent off my old Glock 17 to be rebuilt by Lone Wolf distributors in Idaho and got it back a few weeks ago. So far I’m very impressed with their workmanship and can’t wait to put more rounds down the barrel.

Build specs

Lone wolf Timberwolf frame
Brownells g17 slide
Trijicon rmr sight
All lone wolf internals including alpha wolf barrel.
Cerakote done by lone wolf

I was able to take it to the range 3-4 times now and so far ZERO malfunctions of any kind. I have 1,000 rounds through it including several different brands of fmj and 200 rounds of speed gold dot self defense ammo.

Stay tuned for more on this pistol.

Nice handgun! So what is left from the original G17?

Long story short, I built a g17 Glock off of gen 2 frame using same slide and internals. It shot like garbage so I sent it to lone wolf, and they outfitted with new frame.

So did you have to go through an FFL again or do they transfer your original serial number and destroy the old frame?

No, it is a new frame which comes with a new serial number so I did have to use an ffl to transfer. I still have my original frame.

Haha, so really you just bought a new pistol 😀. Or was the Brownells slide originally on the one you sent?
