Here is a picture of one of my long range rifles. It is a Remington 700 XCR with a matte finish 26" Stainless Steel barrel, chambered in .223 caliber. It is topped with a Vortex Viper FFP 5.5-20x50mm scope sitting on a 20m base. I use this gun for Coyote (hopefully Wolf next year!) hunting in the winter time, and for Long Range form shooting. Its great out to 600 yards, then it starts to lose its energy some. I have the matching rifle in .300 WM for the shooting from 600-1500 yards.

Very nice! I miss coyote hunting in the western/midwestern US. There are getting to be some good numbers of yotes here in Alaska now though and of course wolf, Lynx and fox hunting is high on my list as well. Here is a shot of my long range predator gun for Alaska right after I built it. It is a CZ 22.250 with a Burris 16-24 varmint scope.

Ryan, it is a great scope. Very happy with it. I am running it in millirads so I can have a spotter calling out and just maket eh adjustments. If just for basic hunting and target shooting I would probably go with the MOA adjustments. Very clear scope, great warranty, great price. Check here for a good price and great guy to deal with.

I know this is an older post, but I thought I would let you know Ryan, that I have a new 4-16X50 SFP PST on my 300 RUM, and I am currently doing a thorough comparison testing of it next to a Leupy Mark 4 4.5-14X50 and Swaro Z3 4-12X50 BRH. I will let you know how it turns out. I have Horus Vision calibration targets arriving this week.

There is some awesome gun porn on this thread guys. Keep it comin'!
