Like many of you, I lurked around on here for some time before I joined. Since then I haven't had much to contribute, as there is already a wealth of knowledge to be found here.
I live in KY and I've been outdoors my whole life. I guided for an outfitter on the western slope of Colorado for elk, mule deer, and mountain lion for a couple of years, got a degree in wildlife management, then became a Union Journeyman electrician, funny how life plays out.
I'm an avid waterfowl, and archery whitetail hunter, but I love all hunting and any chance to get outdoors.
My goal is to get back out west on a backpack elk hunt. It would be cool to meet someone here that can help with a backpack elk trip. A semi-guided or unguided with some assistance backpack hunt is what I'd like to do. It's tough finding the time and resources to do all the necessary scouting in preparation for a good western hunt while being in KY.
