Looking for advice when using an old Kifaru frame with new Kifaru pack

I bought a Kifaru LongHunter Hauler frame back in the mid 2000's. I just picked up a new Mountain Warrior pack, and I'm looking for advice from people that have used newer packs on the older frames. I understand that there is a kit that Kifaru will send you to convert the load lifters to work with the newer style packs. Besides the load lifter kit is there anything else that I need to be aware of, or that you would recommend I look into? The newer frames have quite a few more tab loops on the sides compared to my old frame. Has anyone found the lack of attachment points on the side to be a detriment?
