Ive had one in .30-06 since new in the 90’s but cant get it to ahoot better than a 4 to 5” group at 200 yds. Is this typ of these?

no. Not in my experience, I have one in 30-06 that pretty easily makes1-1.5” groups, I know a lot of people here in rural AK with these as well and they don’t seem to have any problems with them. I passed on one in 338wm with open sights and I really regret it.

One in 243 & one in 7rm. Both are 1 moa rifles. Good luck with your search. They are classics and tough as the come.

I had one in 270 that would shoot well with custom ammo. Hates the zytel stock though and put a HS P on it. Recoils a lot better, had it rebore to a 35 whelen, killed a few critters. Now planning to rebarrel to a 9.3x62
