I’ll be testing the cartridge out in a Kimber 84L with a #1 benchmark @ 22”

I’ll see what I can fit in the box mag, distance to lands and eject reliably in the next bit. Quickload gave me good numbers, see if I can make it a reality.

I’d have done 6.5prc but doing it in a 8400 action would have been heavier than the 5lb 5.4oz rifle 84L.

mine is exactly the same...doesn’t seem to affect anything, but I’d expect better out of an expensive rifle.
My recoil pad did the same, so I too store it upside down, on carpet, in my safe. The recoil pad does the job. Shoots like a dream. I've taken a sitka blacktail at 200 yds and a 180 lb whitetail at 75 yds. The blacktail was a heart/lung shot and went 20 yds. The whitetail dropped in its tracks. Both were 140 accubonds. I have the Mark V Backcountry. Didn't like the balance at first, but love it now!
