What does everyone have for a trophy room. That's fine to post up your 50,000 trophy room but mainly just looking for cool ways to mount a few euro whitetails and such. Have a euro bear that's done in a few weeks and a rug on the way. Also have a shiras euro but no actual mounts at this point, lots of whitetail, elk, moose sheds. I'd just like to see how you all have your mounts displayed. Mine are all just stuffed into my small bedroom. Have an alternative option but isn't very big. What can I do for display on a budget? Thanks!

I moved into a fairly small cabin when I moved here for work because it was the only thing available at the time. I've stayed put for awhile and I've had to get creative with where to put mounts. Here is a coat rack I made using sheds I found and engraved, the tree I cut from the woods locally and the hooks are pieces of brass from different kills. It didn't cost anything other than the spar urethane and the steel rods and epoxy to reinforce the hooks.moose shed coat rack.jpg.mounts.jpgmounts 2.jpg

You could do a beetle kill pine accent wall for very little money. Kind of like white skulls on natural wood. I'd stick with the Euro mounts, helluva lot easier to move and less costly.

I just have a theme in some of the rooms. My entry is a Turkey room with some beards and butts and elk. Basement is archery whitetail wall of shame and speed goat room. Livingroom is my head mount whitetail and bigger antlers , upstairs is my wall of shame gun kills.

Ya I've saw that idea before two. I think that'd be pretty cool but I haven't found the right setup for it yet. Nice stuff you all got goin on.

I converted my garage into a trophy room/office/cave.
Added heat & ac, regular doors, bathroom, and painted the concrete floor. Wasnt too bad. Most expensive was the mini
split ac.

Since I will never have a camp of my own and having 3 kids in a tiny house I was moved to the garage. I now call it the "Gar-lodge. " It was an easy diy project and pallets can be had for free in many places.

I guess the best thing is to decide WHY you want a trophy room. To impress? For memories? Got enough money to fill a room with mounts?

Just figure out why you want the trophy room and then go from there. You know what impresses you or how to best bring out a particular memory. Run with that and know that you are the only one who appreciates the mounts - when you die, your kids may keep one but most will end up at a garage sale. Do a search, there was a post about that on here I think.

I once had 20 mounts and gave 18 away. It lost its luster but that was something only I could decide. Walls were lines with ducks and geese - even over our bed. Big Canada honker with 6 ft wingspan over a queen sized bed. LOL.

I don't have a dedicated room, just scattered through the house. Wife would probably prefer if they were confined to one area! :D

Is that pallet wood on the walls? Looks good.
Thanks!

Yes sir. I just looked around for free pallets and Sawzalled the boards off. I used the unsightly ones as furling strips. I did power wash each side to get any crud off which also enhanced the appearance.

I was allowed one wall in the office, and one wall in the garage. Nothing fancy, just hang them and let them mounts speak for themselves.

Ive seen a metal rack on camofire a couple times that lets you hang different mounts. Looked pretty cool and would help conserve space. I will post a link next time I see it
