Which height (low, medium, high) of Sportsmatch rings would work best for the folliwng set-up: Tikka T3x 6.5 CM with a Leupold vx3i-4.5-14 (50mm)? I believe the actual measurement of the objective lens diameter is 58 mm. Not concerned with cheek weld as I have an adjustable cheek rest.

Just ordered the Tikka online, so am trying to square-away the rings right now.

Thanks!

I think you’ll need HTO-73 which I believe is the high

My buddy just mounted a nightforce NX8 2.5-20x50 on his T3X lite and the TO-84 was too low.

Yes, I didn’t specify - It is a 1 inch tube. I’m sure it would matter since 1 inch is about 27mm? Don’t have any direct experience with that.

Sounds like I should go with the highs

I have a t3x in 6.5 cm with a 20moa rail with a leupold vx3i lrp 6.5-20x50 mounted with seekins precision low rings .82”

edit: my scope is a 30mm tube, and I realize this isn’t really apples to apples, but thought I’d mention my set up since the ring height is only .82” and clears the 50mm bell

Sorry I didn’t think about the VX3 being a 1” tube. Yes it matters and the HTO-73 will not work.

You will need either the TO-48C (medium) or the HTO-81 (high)

I went with the HT081 (sportsmatch Tikka High). Here's a couple photos of the clearance. I measure the closest clearance to be about 6 mm. Glad I went with the highs, it would have been CLOSE (~1mm) with the mediums, I think.

Again, the scope is a leupold vx3i, 4.5-14, 50mm
