I am trying to create a low recoil set up for my soon to be 8 year old son. I believe I have LOP issues dealt with so just need to determine appropriate bullet set up. My initial thoughts were something 200 grains or less with two 30 grain pellets. I was looking at traditions smackdown "bleed" or TC shockwaves in 200 grain. The traditions bullet has not so great reviews on some websites and I have never used any TC bullets. I've always shot Barnes myself. Any experience or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. He will be using a CVA Wolf. I am in Illinois so I am limited to slugs or muzzleloader.

Barnes T-EZ 250 grain
75 grains by volume Blackhorn 209
CCI 209 primers

Very manageable recoil and MUCH more effective terminally than TC Shockwaves. I and many others have had bad experiences with those things, even at relatively high impact velocities.
