Had my Tikka 6.5 PRC done for a while, but my builder didn’t have time to send the bolt in for fluting. Searched for someone to send my bolt to for a little while, and settled on LRI. just wanted to give them a shout out! Beautiful work and amazing turn around. It was exactly 7 days from dropping my bolt off at USPS to receiving it at my door today. They received the bolt Thursday, and had it out to USPS Friday. Couldn’t be happier!
2020 was a good year for LRI
Now its 2023 and their fast service is a thing of the past. LRI in my opinion has set a side the small guy and focus on companies that send in multiple action , barrels etc.

Had 3 done and all have been perfect. Totally pointless work but i find it sexy.
Regarding the honest reviews, i appreciate them.
I am glade to here you received your bolt back and happy. I also had a couple bolts fluted plus a barrel but that was in 2021. Its 2023 now and their service has dropped of the charts. I sent my build in to have a barrel installed, scope mounts holes drill to 8-40 and action cerekoted i didnt hear from them for 3 weeks after they received items and only after i contacted them did i.
so now after two month only the mounting holes have been finished. I am hoping to get it back before this hunting season

A buddy of mine used a company called the polished knob. They were cheaper than LRI for certain flute patterns and have a faster turnaround. His bolt turned out great.

Don’t know LRI’s particular situation. I do know what it is like to have a busy small business that cannot find staff to expand services and shorten timelines. It feels worse than the days did when we had to fight for every scrap. After a point one just pulls the reins in. I’ve got customers I have to put off. Hate to do it, can’t help it. The business suffers for it.
