Anyone on here ever make a custom strap/closure with magnets?

I have been looking for a quieter solution to the velcro straps on my Kramer designs snipe pod. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Bought this bipod a few years ago at a sportsman's show. Only complaint is the velcro straps make too much noise. If I can't find a quiet solution I'll get a sheath or something

I’ve worked with magnets a fair amount and they can be a bit challenging for a number of reasons.
For your needs, I’d steer you in a different direction.
Flat cam buckles work well, very quiet and can be released with a thumb.
A bungee cord and toggle only requires just a quick pull (you could also get a bungee with a ball at just about any hardware store).
Bungee with a cord lock is pretty straight forward as well.
Hope the pics help, if not let me know if you need more detail.

I have not used magnets.

I have used sections of used bicycle inner tube cut into "rubber bands" with much success for various uses. If cut perpendicular the bands are smaller diameter. Cut more diagonal for a larger diameter. Cut thin or thick. When cleanly cut they do not tear. They do not freeze. They are quiet. If you have old tubes lying around they are basically "free".

I have a snipe pod as well. The velcro bothers me too.
I like the suggestions above. I'll also throw in using a gear tie, or similar coated wire wraps. They are easily manipulated and super quiet.
Now off to try it on mine...

Thanks for the replies and ideas, I'll play around with bungee and innertube. Bipod fits nicely in the side pocket of bino harness
