With a 30.5" draw - would you guys go atlas or v3x 33" ?
I'm not sure why you would even consider the Atlas with a 30.5" draw. It seems to be solid option for long draw folks but at 30.5", I think you have so many options that the Atlas wouldn't be in the top 3.

I think the Atlas fits the niche of folks who don't have those other options.

Guess it depends on what exactly you are looking for.

The Atlas should be a more forgiving bow for you to shoot. Way long brace height, long ATA. Way slow.

I think if you can fit the draw length range of the 33, that's the bow you will want. With the 33 going to 31.5", and Mathews consistenly drawing long, unless you are past a 32" draw I can't see going with the Atlas.

I shoot an atlas at 31” 75# 80% with a 605 grain arrow @265 fps. Obviously no speed demon but it is a pleasure to shoot and really quiet.

little different but I’m shooting 32.5” DL out of a Hoyt XXL. I’m getting arrows setup this week, and I’m looking to do ~540-575 grain total setup at 70lbs, I’ll be happy to chrono for you
That would be dope. I'm committed to the atlas at this point but it would be great for all us long draw guys to get a good comparison.

I fluctuate between 31.5 and 32" and tried both for that exact reason. For me, the string angle at 31.5" was to steep and pushed me to the atlas. I feel like the 33 should have been a 30.5" bow. Everything else was tick for tack and wasn't a deciding factor either way. If you have any more questions let me know since I compared them recently and still have all my notes written down. Your best bet is to try them side by side for yourself. Either option is fantastic. Keep in mind some people change draw lengths when changing releases and grips. You'll be maxed out and unable to go further with the 33.

I shoot at 33” DL and a 600 grain setup with the atlas and haven’t bothered to measure speed. I assume there aren’t too many people shooting this configuration.

I can chrono if it’s helpful for you.

Hey did you ever chrono this? I’m the same DL and am looking for a rough estimate. I’m using a 530 grain @ 75lbs tho

I've got 75#/85% mods, but recently measured at 67# actual draw weight, I think string and cable have settled a bit. I tried the 80% but it felt a little weird and didn't improve accuracy so went back to 85%.

603gr arrows- 257FPS
566gr arrows- 264FPS

Thanks! I’m going to keep my arrows for now where they are. Should be closer to 270-280 if it’s actually pulling #75
