Matt, how do the Meopta bino's compare to the SLC HD's?

Well, I didn't have them side by side to make a direct comparison.

I will say this:

There is no one area where these binoculars will be totally outpaced by any of the super-expensive binoculars.

Just like comparing the "big three" binoculars to each other, some may prefer one over another for some area of preference (color bias, field flatness, build, etc.), but the Meoptas just really offer that top-shelf performance for middle shelf money.

Are these the same as the Cabelas Euro HD binoculars?

Yup. Cabelas does a "contract manufacture" with Meopta and they just put the Cabelas logo on them. I looked at both when I was a cabelas last and they are 100% identical.

Yes, as armyjoe states, the Cabelas Euro HD and Meopta Meostar HD are the very same optical instrument.

the differences are only the rubber armoring and who handles the warranty and customer service.
