Gearing up for Hog season, Yes I know hog season is all year but after June it is just to Hot and nasty to hunt. But back to the topic, picking up my supply of sow in heat scents, what I am looking to do this year is maximize the dispersal of the aerosol spray. My thinking is the higher you can get it the farther it can travel, so I am considering a rope and pulley up around the tree tops. Figure I can set the can in a sock tied to the rope, set it off and haul it up. It will continue to spray until empty and be carried in the breeze.
I will have the 4oz squirt bottle to scent a specific spot or area and the aerosol should get the attention of all pigs in a quarter mile in the direction of the breeze.
so that is it, my scent plan for this year, any improvements on it, or maybe a better way to disperse the aerosol better ?
The scents have worked well in the Past, just hanging them in a tree above head high, But really looking at avoiding the lack of pigs in the future/
