Maybe I don't need another

Just sold my .30-06, kept the .270 and also have a .45-70. Been considering adding another .30-06 at some point, but after some reading and research I'm not sure I really "need" one. My research has led me to thinking the .270 will handle anything I will hunt in the lower 48, and if it won't, the .45-70 definitely would. Granted, the range of the .45-70 is somewhat limited compared to the .270, but I'm not a long range shooter anyway. If I were to add another rifle to the safe I may bypass the .30-06 and go to 7MM magnum, or just get another .30-06, I'll make that decision if and when the time comes. Maybe skip both and pick up a nice smaller caliber for coyote hunting, I've always wanted a .22-250, or something similar.

I have a 270, 30-06, and 7mm.. Honestly not much difference between them. Sure a little size and speed depending, but I have hunted MT with all of them. Never had a situation where I wouldn't or couldn't make a shoot that was directly to blame on the caliber. Just my experience
