Hey guys. I'm looking a pack strictly to haul meat off the mountain. Probably won't need to pack out more than a mile+/-, so multiple trips are used. Biggest problem is I'm only 5'3" so a short torso frame is needed. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Kifaru duplex frame. I have the Kifaru longer and it can haul heavier loads than physically possible to carry

On the cheaper side of things "L.L.Bean Hunters Carry All pack". I have one and its good for the price, but havent hauled anything with it yet to rate its comfort.
The Kelty cache hauler frame is another good one for cheap.

I use an ACE frame from a Dwight Schuh pack with hooks mounted along the sides and 550 cord used to lace the quarters on the pack. Works great.

Just a few cheaper suggestions for meat hauler packs to be left in the back of the truck till needed.
