Is there much of a difference? The reason I ask is I'm looking to get a new sleeping bag and the one I'm im interested in has a womens long version that is on sale for half the price.

Am I crazy for considering this as an option?

I think what it is is slight differences in shape. Narrower and maybe? accommodating of a woman's hips, but don't quote me on it.

Some actually have more fill for the same temp rating. Some claim warmer footbox. If it fits, it doesn't really matter.

Most manufacturers rate their women’s bags at the comfort temps, while men’s bags are rated at their lower limit. As long as you got inside I think you might be better off!

Thanks for the info. I think I'll give it a try. I actually like the fact it has a little more loft and warmth than the mens. And worst case, it will just get returned, gifted, or in the classifieds.
