Now these have me intrigued. Saw this in one of @gr8fuldoug posts, 1" tubes! Anxious to see weight specs. Capped turrets.

"Available in 2-10x42 RF (rimfire), 2-10x42, 3-15x44, 4-20x44, 4-20x50, and 4-20x50 RD models, the Optika5 riflescopes are available with reticles in the second focal plane. "

4-20x44 has me excited for a hunting scope. The 2-10x42 and 3-15x44 as well.

If they dial reliably, and are a decent weight, that 2-10x42 will be what I've been looking for.

1" tubes and SFP only? I bet they'll sell a bunch of them, just not to me. I like the Optika 6 series though.

Anybody ever confirm the weight on these. I like the idea of the Optika 6 but not sure I want a 30oz scope on a light rifle.

Where's Doug from Cameraland? I have been very impressed with the 6 in the short time I have had it.

I've heard they are in the 23oz range. Google it and it'll come up in a discussion, either on 24hour or LRO or SH. Doug was the one that posted the specs from Meopta when they asked back in February.

This is from shot show so if anything changed its not on here.
There's a lot fewer options than optika6. 12 models offered total

-Sfp only
-4 total reticles ( 2 in I'll. Rd- 4-20x50 only, 2 standard reticles
-1" tube
-4 magn.options: 2-10x42, 3-15 x 44, 4-20x 44, 4-20x 50
Weights range from 20.8 (2-10x42) to 23.5 (4-20x 50).
Parallax on 3-15x and above. All 10yd+

I wouldn't mind a 1-5x. I really wouldn't mind a Optika Spotter.

From what I remember these will be replacing the meostar line of scopes, so they'll be the lowest priced offering from Meopta.

Same here. I picked up the 2.5-15x44 from Doug/CL...very robust scope. Love the kdot reticle

Any more updates on the Optika 5? Seems to have a really nice set of features for the price.

Any one use them and have some real world feedback yet?

I just bought a 2-10x42 from CameralandNY. It arrived last week and I installed it on a new Savage .223 that I’m going to use for coyotes. I haven’t shot with it yet but it seems well built. Sort of chunky I guess you could say, but not in a bad way. The focus knob is oversized and grippy. For $300 for a Meopta product I’m sure it’ll do well for my application. Hopefully I’ll be sighting in the rifle in the coming days and can provide more feedback.

That’s my biggest complaint with the Meopta optika 5/6. Why do we have to have the big ugly power ring and turret caps. Looks fine on a AR but on a nice bolt gun I like things a little more streamlined.
