Making a brass catcher for semi autos. Looking for some sort of mesh that will let the wind blow through, but have small enough holes to still catch the brass. Best thing I'm seeing online is mosquito and garden netting. The mesh is very fine, dunno how much it will catch the wind.

Any better ideas?

Thanks!

I’d look for a one handed fishing landing net. I have one with a mesh size that’d probably work. Of course for the same price you could just buy a Caldwell brass catcher

My brass catcher is about 5.5' square, mounted on a tripod that you just stand next to. Nothing mounted to the handgun.

Cabelas sold/sells a net that attaches to a pic rail. Mostly designed for an AR type rifle. I’ve used it and it works well. Not ideal for a bunch of different rifles but if you’re just shooting a couple it’s not too expensive and much nicer than hauling a big net out with you.

Found some 1/4" bird netting that should work nicely.
