Hey guys hoping you could possibly help me out with a possible/likely gun purchase. Looking for a solid longer range hunting setup and I think may have found the deal I’ve been waiting for.

Can you help me put a true fair market value on a setup? I’ll give as much info as I can, just haven’t quite held it yet to give 100% accurate info.

Gun is a newer (>7 years) Winchester model 70 in 300 win mag. Appears to be the sporter model? Blued barrel, fairly basic wood stock. Both look good with very little wear/imperfections

Scope is a Vortex PST 4-16x50 FFP illuminated reticle

Three boxes of ammo included (unsure on what exactly but I’m figuring el cheapo stuff)

A basic “two gun” hard case included

I know it’s not easy to throw an exact figure so I guess if it were you, what would you not blink an eye at and go buy right away, within reason of course

Thanks! Had to look into how to find closed auctions but this is what I was looking for. Hard to base price off of current auctions with a bunch of time left.

From the looks of closed auctions seems like many bare guns in a comparable condition, year, model have true completed auctions mainly in the 425-525 price range. Then add shipping and ffl transfer I think it be safe to say a good condition rifle from the FN factory in SC would be a fair local price at 500?

Then add the scope, ammo, and basic case: hows $750 for the package? Fair deal? I know the pst scopes retail for quite a bit more than 250, not sure on used price, then the case and ammo are just icing.

I think that would be a fair deal, thats 500 for the gun and 250 for the scope. I wouldn’t let the 3 free boxes of ammo change your decision, I am assuming the seller doesn’t have another 300wm laying around.

Went and checked out the rifle this evening. Perfect shape. Not a mark on it, super smooth.

Picked up the package for what I think is a smoking deal at 600

Yeah that makes getting out a bit more difficult! I guess that’s an one bonus of moving from the snow belt we just left to a banana belt!
